Ranttila Scholarship Foundation

In 2021, Dr. Nicole Ranttila founded the Ranttila Scholarship Foundation to honor the memory of her late mother and sister. The goal of this nonprofit organization is to provide scholarships to high school students in the Mahoning Valley. Kristina Ranttila passed away in 2011 and Sharla Ranttila passed away in 2013. Both led lives full of love and generous service to others. Dr. Ranttila hopes to continue their legacy of generosity by establishing scholarships to deserving students. 

In May of 2022, the first Sharla Ranttila Memorial Scholarship was awarded at Girard High School. This scholarship honored a student entering a helping profession. In 2023, the William Ranttila Honorary Scholarship was awarded at LaBrae High School. 

For 2024, plans are underway to award a skilled trades scholarship, a Sharon High School scholarship, and host a golf outing in May.
